I was on the second day of covering a conference at Cameron House Hotel at the southern end of Loch Lomond. Arriving back at the hotel at around 8am the mist was clearing from the loch to reveal a warming early autumn day. The island ahead is Inchmurrin, the only inhabited island on the loch (Pub, restaurant and accommodation), with Ben Lomond away in the distance behind. My lodge is tucked away not far from the bottom of the Ben. About 30-40 mins drive from this spot.
