Stirling and its magnificent castle are just 45 mins by car, the Trossachs and Rob Roy country only 30 miles and to discover so much of Argyll or mountains of the north to Crianlarich is in easy reach for day exploring.

Scotland's capital city, Edinburgh, can be reached in just 90 minutes and certainly you will need to be ready for a full day away.

Glasgow is also a must visit city and you can be there in just under an hour. For just a couple of places to see just north eact of the city center is the redevloped Kelvingrove Art Gallery and there's the new Museum of Transport just down by The Clyde and the fabulous Botanical Gardens.
