Self Catering Cottages Loch Lomond Scotland - guest comments...

Umm... yes I know this is a web site about log cabins in Scotland but I do know that many who have booked in the past have also been searching for holiday cottages in Scotland and Loch Lomond. By hook or by crook they have found Sandwood Lodge but were searching just as much for self catering cottages in Scotland. So to help others find this lovely holiday accommodation in Scotland I am unashamedly adding this page - but just as much to show some of the many kind comments left in a now full Guest Comments Book.
Additionally the Loch Lomond area is a destination known to most people through geography, song, poem and verse. BUT it is often not easily seen in many of the 'search' options offered by many web sites and in some it is part of Stirlingshire, in others as part of Argyll, Bute and the Isles and others as central Scotland.

Thank you to Simon and Lesley on behalf of all your very happy visitors over the years!! (May 2011)
"Here it is - the last page in the book. Four years of providing wonderful holidays from everyone that visits this beautiful lodge and loch. This year we've had a magical visit to Tir na nOg, went wild at the Safari Park and went Continental at the outdoor market at Lomond Shores. We've sat on the deck in glorious sunshine and got to see the trees in boom - they're alway empty in October. As usual on our last day we are very sad to be packing up but happy in the knowledge that we'll be back again. Thank you Simon & Lesley for another fabulous visist." April 2011.

The gondola ride at the Nevis Range was fantastic. ........ Thank you for letting us stay at your wonderful lodge. Will be going home with lots of lovely memories of our time here in Scotland" Catherine, Robert, Evelyn, Ken and Lesley, Cheshire. October 2010.
"Thought I'd send you a note to say how much we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sandwood lodge.
Arrived home depressed at having to leave the place. We all thought the lodge itself was outstanding and beautiful, with all mod cons and everything you need for the stay. The location is awesome, with views you could not fittingly describe or imagine. My mother who came with us has not had a holiday in many, many years and will not fly - she was dumb struck by the beauty of the place. A holiday she will never forget.
As one time regular visitors to Scotland this surpassed previous visits due to the lodge and its isolated setting. Took boys fishing (caught a small trout), sampled the local cuisine, walked the walk, did Rob Roy to death - house, cave & grave, fully explored Trossachs, distillaries, lochs, boat trips. Even got photo of wild stag sitting watching us close to lodge. Absolutely fantastic week." The Murphys
