Ben Lomond on a calm Autumn day

Thank you for the great week we had
at your lodge. The facilities were
excellent and we all really enjoyed
our stay. We would certainly recommend
the lodge to all of our family and friends
and would definately consider a return
visit in the future.
Thanks again, Simon Ashington & Family.

Self Catering Log Cabin, Loch Lomond, Scotland

A privately owned log cabin, Sandwood Lodge is a cosy self catering chalet situated at Rowardennan on Loch Lomond in Scotland, in a striking setting on a quiet, private estate of chalets and lodges. Imagine clear starry nights, walks wrapped up against chilly and crisp bright winter days or long summer trips away exploring Rob Roy country or the mountains of Argyll and the north - this can be all yours too.

Rowardennan is on the east shores of Loch Lomond, 6 miles north from the pretty village of Balmaha. The private site on which the log cabins sit is right on the lochside.

This is the quieter side of Loch Lomond and an area famous for the West Highland Way taking walkers on beneath Ben Lomond nearby.

Loch Lomond is certainly one of the world's, and Scotland's, most stunning and internationally renowned locations at the southern end of the Scottish Highlands. The country's largest fresh water loch is now part of Scotland's first National Park - an area where for centuries, visitors have travelled to, taken in spectacular scenery, sail, walk and climb - and simply breathe fresh air.

There's also direct access to the water for water based sports and easy launching for those who prefer to bring their own craft. There is a jetty and shallow beach which is ideal for canoeing from or launching windsurfers and sailing boats. Moorings can be hired from the site owners.
